“Rob Roy” memories from Margaret and Wilf Luke.

In May 2003 the village of Kinlochard celebrated the 50th anniversary of the making of the Walt Disney film ” Rob Roy The Highland Rogue.” The villagers as extras and the loch and the neighbouring countryside as a location was still at that time in living memory. As part of the research associated with the making of the movie, Margaret and Wilf Luke very kindly agreed to be interviewed and that their memories could be more widely shared.

What follows is an edited version of the full interview. The interviewer was James Kennedy. All editing and adding of images to the oral history was completed by Alan Cooper.

We are grateful to the Luke family especially Ronnie and Margaret for their support in this project.

James Kennedy.
