About the Strathard Heritage Digital Archive
This website is a project which brings together archival material about Strathard. The detailed development work so far has been undertaken by a project group from The Strathard Community Trust and the Loch Ard Local History Group. The group consists of James Kennedy, Katinka Dalglish, Margaret Neufeld and Ann Doubal. The site is a starting point and includes contributions from some local historians including Peter Joynson and Louis Stott. Of equal importance are the stories which featured in the Strathard News about the place and its people. There is also an extensive collection of postcards and other photographs. This digital collection will continue to be added to and the hope is that additional items will be provided by those who know and love Strathard. By having the website our history and heritage can be shared far and wide. Please make contact if you would like to contribute anything and we will add it. Photographs and documents can be scanned and returned to you. You can read more about contributing to the website on our ‘Guidance for Contributors’ page.
